The SGAN-NEXT consortium is proud to announce the successful completion of the first manufacturing run of GaN-based monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) devices. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the development of next-generation, high-efficiency power amplifier technologies for satellite communication systems. The first batch of devices has been successfully fabricated and tested, showing promising performance that confirms the maturity of the design and manufacturing process. This achievement validates the project’s collaborative efforts to push the boundaries of GaN technology for future space and ground segment applications. With these encouraging results, the consortium is now preparing for the next fabrication run, aiming to further enhance performance and reliability. The successful completion of this first phase demonstrates SGAN-NEXT’s commitment to advancing European leadership in GaN technology and enabling more efficient, scalable satellite communication systems.
